Doulaing is emotionally heavy lifting work and so it isn't for everyone BUT it is a fantastically rewarding job for those who are passionate about supporting parents during pregnancy, at birth and beyond.

Here is what we will be covering on the evening:

  • An overview of the current maternity landscape; the challenges and opportunities.
  • The realities of being a doula.
  • The qualities required to make this a sustainable career choice.
  • Common doula myths dispelled.

There will, of course be plenty of opportunity to ask Mel and I questions, share your doubts, and pick our brains about whether this could work for you.

There will also be the opportunity to enrol in our new TBR Doula Course if it feels like the right move for you.

Melody Robinson is the CEO and founder of All Things Birth & Beyond.

She has created TBR College's first Doula Training course.

Mel is a mum of two, Doula UK full-spectrum Doula, BFI accredited BFC, Holistic Sleep Coach (Dip), Advanced Birth & Beyond Practitioner (BA. Hons, UofW), Reiki Master, trauma-informed Birth Doula & Postnatal Expert and believer in YOU!

She has spent the last two decades supporting families as they transition through this life stage, so that they feel fully supported and empowered.

She is sharing the wealth of her knowledge and experience as a birth & postnatal doula with others through the TBR Doula course.

Alex Heath is the Founder of TBR College and has been training perinatal professionals since 2016

Her journey in this work started as a hypnobirthing antenatal teacher and birth doula.

She believes that there has never been a greater need for parents to access doula support.

A recent scoping review published in May found that 16 independent studies on the impact of doulas work with parents was overwhelmingly positive across a range of issues from lowering the need for intervention to successfully establishing breastfeeding at birth.
